On the weekend of May 6-7 the class had its usual successful spring minireunion. Hanover, like of our group, looked especially well-groomed. All of the activities were well attended, with the largest number—45—showing up for the fine Saturday dinner at Norwich Inn. Most of the group were old regulars at these gatherings, but it was good to be joined by a couple not seen for a while, Eddie and Mona Chamberlain. They had recently moved to Lyme, so now it's a short hop for them.

Another mover (and shaker) is Barry Sullivan, whose new address is 10570 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22030-7113.

In this year when so many of us are reaching the age of 80, one of the first we know of to have a big bash was Don Erion. Back in February his wife, Jessie, organized a party for him in Nashua which was attended by 75 guests, including five children and 11 grandchildren. Pete Fitzherbert, with the help of daughter Nancy, planned his own celebration for mid-July, a gift to friends and classmates. The place, Lost Valley Lodge in Auburn, Maine; the menu, lobster, of course!

Present or soon-to-be 80-year-olds who just keep going and going include Seymour Sims. Last April Chuck joined Centennial Realty in Scarsdale N.Y., where he will specialize in residential listings. And then there is BobButton, who in early June left on a business trip to Nepal for the International Executive Service Corps. His mission, which was to take about two months, was to help the Nepalese establish a commercial satellite communications center. Their hope is "to use satellite TV not merely to open the doors for more foreign entertainment, but to use this potential for the development and democratization of the country."

Brad Chase had a much quicker trip over Memorial Day weekend. One airline had a bargain round-trip fare between Portland, Maine, and Denver. Brad left Portland Saturday afternoon, arriving Denver in time for an evening visit withson and family. Sunday they had time for a leisurely ride in the countryside, including a picnic lunch, before he returned to Portland that night. Not bad for 30 hours and minimum expense!

Don't forget our fall mini-reunion, September 23-24.
