Harry Colmery is in tie Los Angeles area. He retired some years ago (investment banking), but couldn't stand inactivity. Now he's managing money furids. He plays golf, a 12-handicap, so he says. Plays tennis too. Spoke of seeing GeorgeGlass (Oceanside) recently.

John Condit is still in Evanston, Ill. He's retired five years now, and was last with International Home Furnishings Association as executive director. His hobby? John has played the viola for years and performs with the Evanston Symphony.

John Conant is still practicing law in Rowayton, Conn. He had been with Perk & Elmer, the Englehardt Industries, but decided to settle down and be, as he said, a smalltown lawyer. We recalled our days laboring for the Dartmouth Dining Association.

Still in Connecticut, Jim Crawford has been relaxing for six years following 32 with Colgate-Palmolive. He sculls around Long Island Sound. He's also a hammer-thrower, and Rhode Island senior champion. How so? Well, Connecticut doesn't have the event. His daughter was just ordained a minister in the Episcopal Church, and I know that is a first for our class.

I talked to a couple of doctor classmates. Milt Cooper is still practicing internal medicine in Fairfield, Conn. He's on the board of St. Vincent's Hospital. One son is a doctor, the other a lawyer. Yes, Milt plays golf, and always renowned for veracity he confided his handicap to me—and I won't tell you. The other physician, Bob Clifton has been retired from his urology practice for six years. Spends half the year in Naples, Fla. He's a golfer and an honorable man who also gave me his true handicap. But his real hobby? He ventures into the sea and catches lobsters. One of his daughters is married to a Thayer School professor and lives in Hanover.

Joe Conley lives in North Syracuse and has been retired from General Electric since 1984. He has a camp up on the St. Lawrence and fishes and runs his boat. We remember Joe as one of our greatest all-around track and field performers. Found another track star down in Huntsville Ala.: Charles "Chuck"Crockett. He's been with NASA for 32 years but says this is the last. After Dartmouth Chuck got more engineering at Colorado. He's all involved in grandsons and Little League, but does play golf. What a great American! Admits to scoring around 110!

If you think I went down the "C's" in our class roster you get an "A" for perception. But I did talk to Bob Kimball back in Hanover after his winter in Arizona. He and Rog Foster represented 1946 at the Dartmouth Squadron Reunion (Naval Air Corps) held in conjunction with the 1944 50th Reunion. Hammer throwers, viola players, lobster fishermen. Is this a great class or what?

I have the sad task to report that classmates Paul En gel hart, Donald Drake, DaleMetts, John Fairbanks, and Rudolph Lorraine all passed away since I last reported to you. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the families of all.
