Well, it is with great sadness that I submit my last install ment of Class Notes before I officially hand over the reigns to our new class secretaries, Jeanne DeSa and Tom Avril. Actually, I am real- ly looking forward to reading someone else's column in this space for the next five years—l am running out of things to write
after only five months! I know that Jeanne and Tom are going to do a great job keeping us up to date on all of our class gossip between now and our TENTH Reunion! Remember, if you want to see your friends' names in print, then you have to sit down and write (or call or fax or telepathically communicate) to Jeanne or Tom so that they can include your news in this column. You can reach Tom at 332 Lombard Street (Apt. IF), Philadelphia, PA 19147; Jeanne's current address is 44 Lawrence Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583.
Reunion was, in a word, great! If you were not able to make it to Hanover, you missed seeing everyone from Neil Abramson to Eric Zaslow along with lots of people in between, including Mary Beth Basile, marnie Curry, Will Chutkow (who gave me some great advice on handling those wonderful "transition periods" in life), Sharon Geary,Chris Kagy, Joe Nedder, Tony Perry, Gretchen Shufelt, and Beth Wood. The weather was hot (understatement) and humid, the river temperature was perfect, and Pam Peedin did a great job throwing a party for 500 people. There was a brief, slightly violent thunderstorm on Saturday night that sort of broke things up, but you can't control everything! Suzanne Murphy, Julie Jensen,Anne Morrissey, Ellie (Mahoney) LoughlinKristen Von Sumner, Kerry Kisiel, and Pier Kooistra all put a lot of work into keeping us happy and making the reunion run smoothly. Poor Chris Goulard missed reunion, but he and his wife Jen '90 had the unenviable task of collecting the money in the weeks leading up to the big event. Many thanks to all of these people (and everyone else) who helped to make the weekend such a great success!
While most of our classmates were asleep or getting ready to climb Moosilauke on Saturday morning, our devoted new executive committee met to choose the officers who will lead us for the next five years. If you have reached this point in the column, you already know that Tom Avril and Jeanne DeSa will be taking over the secretarial duties from Carrie Luft and myself. I will be handing over the presidential responsibilities to recent Tuck grad Russell Wolff, who will work with Jennifer Downs, our new vice president. Tom Beecher will manage our finances as class treasurer, while Ellie Loughlin will be bringing the news to your doorstep in her new role as newsletter editor. Bill Dean,Rob Eleveld, and Dan Rivers will be serving as our "Fundraising Triumvirate," and Ted "Hendo" Henderson will be traveling to Hanover twice a year to represent our class on the Alumni Council. Bonnie AnHenderson (Boston), Jennifer Avellino (Washington, D.C.), Jamie Kershaw (Los Angeles), Jody Warden (Minneapolis), and Karin Wilinski (Boston) have all agreed to help organize class mini-reunions in their respective areas of the country. Finally, JanBrzeski Laurie Fanger, David Irwin,Edward Nelson, John Tantum, Siobhan Wescott, and I are all signed up to serve as members of the executive committee for the next five years. If you have any interest in helping this group, please contact me or Russell Wolff to let us know—we will always appreciate the help! That's all for now; Jeanne and Tom will bring you more news in the next issue. Remember to stop by and see me when you are in Hanover (my office is in McNutt Hall), or contact me by e-mail at . Enjoy your summer!
