On the event of our reunion (is it 15 already?) in June, I hope you are signed up to be in Hanover, June 16-18. It gets to be really fun, now that some of our kids are old enough to start exhibiting our own characteristics. On second thought, I'll spare you all and leave my two children at home!
Speaking of kids, Angela Nesbitt has had a second little girl, Alexandra. Alexandra joins Rebecca who is three and a half years old. Now a partner with Mercer, Angela is enjoying the "working mom" routine. Jenny ToolinMcAuliff, a lawyer at Fidelity Investments, also gave birth to a girl, Casey, late in December. Jenny and husband Tony were thankful for a healthy baby, but mostly pleased to get that 1994 tax deduction! As usual, great timing from Toolin.
Pat Berry and husband Mitch Heisler had their second baby on September 7.Alexandra Elizabeth is a "happy rolypoly" type, according to her mom, and joins sister Meg. Pat is the assistant managing editor for' Sports Illustrated for Kids and is working on ways for the magazine to introduce your tots and mine to the information superhighway. For those with the inclination and the modem, Pat's e-mail address is .
Hot off the presses, Danielle Dyer and Alec Kloman '8O have already signed up baby girl Storey, born February 2, for rowing lessons.
And finally on the baby front, rumor has it that Keith Hammonds, the noted scribe, recently had a son named Connor. We'll leave it to him for more details.
In other news, Jeannie Boutelle has recently jumped to UBS to work in the unchallenging (just kidding) world of junk bonds and emerging debt. Frank Merrill has been named a partner of Bricker & Eckler, a law firm based in Ohio. Frank specializes in environmental law.
Greg Fossedal continues to influence the news. As noted in a recent letter to the editor in The Wall Street Journal, Greg is the executive chairman of the Alexis de Tocqueville Institute.
Last fall's football game between Princeton and Dartmouth was a virtual minireunion for '81s. Although the good guys lost, Steve Zales, Bruce Keyser, Chris Niehaus,John Westerfield, Holly and Paul Becker, and Alain Moureaux and wife Emily Bakemeier '82 were all on hand to cheer the Big Green.
In a stunning coup, Tom Booher reached the pinnacle of his athletic career when he was recendy inducted into the Brooke High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Speaking to a standing room only crowd at the Brooke-Weir High football game in the fall, Tom wiped the tears from his eyes as he noted, "I'm on my way to Disney World."
And finally, congratulations to RickLauchnor for completing the New York Marathon, his first marathon, in under four hours. Rick and his wife live in New York City, where he is a vice president in the fixed-income department of Paine Webber.
Cheers, and see you in June.
