We are pleased to pass on this interesting letter from Mike Butler: "Here is my story so far. After Dartmouth I went on to Tuck and from there into the advertising business in New York. Then, on a lark, I decided to spend a week at Esalen Institute, a center for the "development of the human potential" in Big Sur, California. One week hooked me. I left everything I had in New York and came to Esalen to train as a group leader. That was four and a half years ago. I've been there ever since. My work has developed over the years into a kind of body/mind/spirit synthesis. I work with groups of sixteen or so people who come to Esalen from totally diverse backgrounds. In a recent group I had a college student of eighteen and a lady of seventy-two. I only lead a group one week out of the month. The other three I spend training (meditation, yoga, philosophizing, resting) for my work. I love the work. In addition to my groups at Esalen I travel around this country and to Europe to give seminars.

"I live in Big Sur in an old homestead up in the mountains. Recently Colin Harley '62 visited me there. It was really something for us to compare lifestyles. He is a corporation lawyer in New York.

Ron Wybranowski, our head agent for the Alumni Fund, is getting ready for the 1975 Campaign. Our Class has a three-part objective: $32,000 from 415 men with 125 $100 + donors. This is a most reasonable goal in view of our successful efforts at helping the Alumni Fund in past years. Let's all give as generously as we can so that we can take pride in helping the College by meeting or exceeding all three parts of the objective.
