87 Committed correspondent Drew Deskey sent me an information-packed holidaycard last December which I shall do my best to accurately recount. Drew holds a new job with Standard & Poor's as an insurance-company rating analyst. He is gearing up for the second CFA exam, singing with the University Glee Club (the White House being one of his latest gigs), and directing the Metrognomes. While on his trip to Washington Drew popped in on Susan Vaules, an employee of National Geographic and also a singer with the Oratio Society of Washington.

Lauren Arnold and Martin McCarter were married last June in New Canaan, Conn. Lauren works for CS First Boston in its Latin American group, and Martin is a first-year resident at New York Hospital. NathanGilliott manages computer systems at Duke University. He and his wife, Adrienne, live in Durham, N.C.

New York is the new home of Rob Sholitz, where he is a parttime management consultant and parttime actor. Recent performances include two one-act operas off Broadway and three musicals at the Bucks County Play house. Another New York transplant is DavidHuang, now creative director of NBC Entertainment. David produces spot promotions for NBC programming, among other duties. In New Jersey, Stephanie Taylor is a dietician and nutritionist at Meadowlands Medical Center. Peter Murane and his wife, Alison, live with their dogs in San Francisco.

Mike and Chrissie Stearns Drescher plan to leave Chicago sometime this summer after Alike graduates from law school at North western. Mike will start a clerkship with a judge on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and will be stationed in Burlington, Vt. Chrissie, who is part-way through business school at Kellogg, is looking forward to a year full of fun projects such as taking courses at UVM. She and Mike enjoyed New Year's at the Newton, Mass., home of Kevin and GinnyWise Wilkins along with Bethany Rogers,Dennis Goldstein and his fiancee, Chrisand Mary Halpin Carter, Phil Reilly, and KK McMahon and husband Jeff.

The Nature Conservancy recently promoted Mark Elsbree. With the conservancy in Sun Valley, Idaho, since graduation, Mark accepted the assignment of opening a new office in northern Idaho. He will develop and administer a special program to acquire and preserve unique lands, while raising the funds to do so.

Good luck to all graduates at this gorgeous time of year, and merry summer.
