A lot of running to different places, with languid days in between, could be summer. Calendar says July, temperature and humidity both read 90, Arnold has come out with a movie, definitely summer. Baseball Ail-Star game, and Ripken was quoted afterward, "we told stories, we laughed, then Ernest Hemingway punched me in the nose." Something like that.

Did my part for Reunion (hint: June 1997). Drove to Atlantic City to fish TedLippman for tunes—no problem—he will bring tapes, but does not have the one with the elusive 18 minutes, nor a previously unheard Beatle anthology. While in A.C., I caught the Joel Lippman (Ted's younger son) bar mitzvah. Excellent reviews. Older son David is following Lip's footprints in the sand—swim team, crew team, beach patrol. Wife Ethel is starting a new education-related business. Lip is utilizing those skills honed as the ex-officio social chairman at Alpha Theta, riding the resurgence of Atlantic City, selling wine to the food and beverage managers of the casino hotels.

From our '72s and the arts file: WayneScherzer has moved to New York. He's in Les Miserables and encourages any '72s to stop backstage to say hello (I guess he would only come to regret that offer if house seats came with it). Pilobolus is also in New York, celebrating its 25 th anniversary (kinda like us, huh?). Rave reviews (the more things change, the more they stay the same), with mention of Robby Barnett as one of the choreographers. Their shows included some of the original works as well as new ones.

If this arrives in time for our minireunion, hope to see you on the Cape, otherwise, trick or treat.
