Homecoming this year was well attended although a little soggy. Paul Jerde flew in from Colorado with daughter Kayla to give her a chance to see where Dad spent his formative years. Roger Waterman came from New Mexico, which gave him a chance to see his daughter, Maralie, and granddaughter Brande. Maralie lives just north of Hanover. Friday night at the Homecoming parade, Brande helped carry our class banner along with Kayla Jerde and MarkBankoffs son, Nathan. I don't know if Brande is our class's first grandchild (she's six or so) but she is probably the first one to take part in an official class function. If I'm wrong about that, please let me know. Another item involving class children is that Jim Gardner's son, Justin '9l, recently married a fellow alum (class of '93). That's something none of us could have done.

The class meeting was lively. Among the topics discussed was the timing of our next Reunion. The College has decided that after the 25th, all classes will meet on their actual Reunion year and not reune (I know that's not a word) with chronologically abutting classes. We were unanimous in our opposition to that and have decided to let the College know. If you wish to jbin in, contact is Nelson Armstrong at Blunt Alumni Center. He can be reached via e-mail at . By the way, that format for an address will get you anyone on the college system. A second hot topic was our class project. Originally, we wanted to do something big, like a room in the new library addition. The College, however, prefers smaller projects. They feel large ones will cut into the Alumni Fund giving. The suggestions given to us by the College were things that seemed to be more of a temporary nature. In spite of the College's wishes, the group was still of a mind to go ahead with the larger, more permanent type project. We also voted to purchase a class tent to be used at Homecoming and mini-reunions.

Norm Jacobs was put in charge of that for two reasons: he's in a related business and he wasn't there to object. However, before finalizing the purchase, we are looking into a tent renting/sharing deal with the '7os. Finally, in order to make our class officially a non-profit organization, the group voted unanimously to accept the proposed class constitution. We then adjourned to the tailgate held at the Top of the Hop due to the rain and lack of aforementioned tent. As always, Karen and BillStable ford set a lovely table.

Dick Glove sky, former class president and bon vivant, is now a member of the Alumni Council. I'm not sure what they do but I'd rather have Dick doing it than anybody else. Just as importantly, his picture, along with wife Nancy Korman, appeared in the society pages of The Boston Globe. I am now officially adding to my resume the fact that I know Dick.

I could give you a laundry list of classmates who were also diere but that would be boring. If you haven't sent in your class dues, search around for the envelope and get on it. Think about the 1902 Room at the library and how nice it would be to have a room (somewhat smaller) adorned with our class numerals.
