Rochester (N.Y.) insurance owner Al Ziegler informed us that his classmate from both high school and college, John Greppon, is teaching English and Greek at Cleveland State University. John has his Ph.D. in ancient linguistics. In addition to his teaching, John has become a renowned armenologist and in particular, has translated the Armenian Ornithological Dictionary from ancient Greek into Armenian. In one research project, John turned up some interesting old writings by the ancient physician Galen, which are apparently found only in the Armenian language. Besides editing an important Armenian journal, John is a prolific book reviewer for both The London Times and The New York Times.

Although it doesn't fall into the category of ancient writing, an anonymous classmate tells us that a 1972 article by Tuck marketing professor Fred Webster titled "A General Model for Understanding Organizational Buying Behavior" was republished as an "icon classic" in the Winter '95 issue of Marketing Management. How many of the rest of us can say that something we wrote more than 20 years ago has been deemed good enough to be republished today? Kudos, Fred!

Well-deserved congratulations also to Jim Lust, president of Lust Chevrolet-Buick in Aberdeen, S.D., who was honored with the 1996 Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award at the National Automotive Dealers Association convention. The award recognizes exceptional performance in a dealership and distinguished community service. Can't get a much better reference than that, Jim! Jim and wife Vicki have eight children and one grandchild.

Another classmate to be congratulated is Randy Malin, appointed in February as president and chief executive officer of Travel Net Inc., a Santa Clara-based high-tech company founded in 1991. Travel Net is a recognized pioneer in real-time travel planning tools and advanced database software which enable customers to manage and reduce corporate travel expenses. Randy's experience as American Airlines's vice president for sales and advertising (during the introduction of the Sabre Computer Reservation system) and later as USAir's executive vice president of marketing is just what Travel Net wanted.

Pete Scott also made a recent change. Pete, a retired army colonel (ordnance), moved with wife Anne to Gettysburg, Penn., about a year ago. Pete now applies the expertise he developed in the military at United Defense (part of FMC Corp.), a manufacturer of self-propelled howitzers located in nearby Chambersburg. Pete's new home phone number is (717) 337-0343.

"Pete" Paxson, another Pennsylvanian, owns a company in Mountville called Alphabet Graphics. It is a digital center involved in electronic pre-press, films for printing and ad agencies, multimedia, digitizing audio, and animation services. Pete can be reached on the World Wide Web at .
