The best news to come from the Class Officers Weekend was the marriage of Jerry Low to Mary Ellen Henle. The class wishes them much happiness. We look forward to seeing them at the mini reunion in September.

A note from the Cairns '48, who visited Al and Ruth Ann Teetzel in St. George, Utah. They report the Teetzels look fantastic, tan, and healthy and were looking forward to a family trip to Lake Louise and Banff. Bob Crabb answered my e-mail appeal for news. Said that he and Kay stay healthy, a little golf and some tennis. Had a lunch date with Ed and Jo Eaton, who were en route to Tucson. Bob, your exercise regime seems to fit in with Ev Koop's focus on families and fitness which is part of his Shape Up America! campaign to fight the trend to obesity among Americans. Koop's mission is to fight the obesity epidemic a few pounds at a time, with exercise and diet.

A pleasant surprise occurred when a letter arrived from Bill Lyons, who is living with his wife, Maria, in Portugal. He spent many years with Pan Am, becoming vice president Latin America. Bill retired and was a management consultant for 13 years. They have two children, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

The fall mini reunion dates are September 20 and 21 in Hanover with dinner in the Wheelock Room Friday evening and at the Coolidge in White River on Saturday. Penn is the opponent in the season opener. Furm Stanley, 60th Super Reunion chairman, is assembling committees and would appreciate your assistance. Give him a call.
