It was great to hear from Jack Hollern of Wayzata, Minn., who sounds happy. "At 86 I am still working at our family offices and trying to keep out of the way. Play golf some, garden a lot, and enjoy life despite a TURP and a few defects." Jack, those TURPs are pretty common among our 86 year olds. (We have had two.)

Gladys Tucker, widow of our classmate Morrison, has given us the name of Isaac Patch, who is writing about Howie Sargeant and would appreciate any stories about him at Delage Farm Road, Franconia, NH 03580.

Hearing from no others, here's a few words about ourselves. The answer to the frequently asked question of us, "What do you do about the summer heat of Phoenix?" is, "We avoid it." The trip to the Reunion in June was our plan A. But Hanover, Boston, and New York were hotter then than Phoenix. Plan B was for three weeks in mid-summer in the Midwest, but here again, Kansas and Branson, Mo., were having a heat wave! But regardless, we are off to Spain in September.

Sadly, we report the recent death of JohnW. Watts.
