Not so easy trying to track you down these cold days of winter. You're off visiting such exotic places as Kuala Lumpur, Mozambique, and even Peoria, Ill. Wouldn't surprise me if some were in Antarctica. Nice time to be there. Warms up to about minus 30, something like Hanover back in '42-'43. Thanks to Reg Pierce, I can report that classmates Bob Poet and Earle Angstadt were both in Hanover during December; Bob for the Athletic Council, Earle for the Alumni Council. Honors for our Brad Morehouse. In November the Connecticut Audubon Society presented him with the 1996 benchmark award in recognition of his significant contributions and dedication to the society. Congrats Brad. I thought it would be nice to write a bit about our class officers. I've often mentioned them but usually only in their official capacities.

Reg Pierce is our unofficial liaison to the College. Reg and wife Nancy are in their 27th year as proprietors of Pierce's Inn, Etna, N.H. I know we all consider Pierce's to be a Dartmouth tradition. Prexy BuolHinman is still in Rome, N.Y. Though retired four years he still goes to the office, probably to check up on his children, who run the business. That business is Rome Strip Steel, founded by his grandfather in 1926! Buol and wife Joan were off to Venice, Fla., in January.

Tom Adams—you know all about his fundraising prowess. Did you know that he's run Adams Associates for 36 years? That's a PR firm and over the years he's dqne work for 700 colleges and universities. And he said to remind you to think 1997 Alumni Fund. Our Vice President Bob Kimball and wife Jackie left Hanover before Christmas. Spending the winter in Tucson, Ariz. Spoke to him, he's feeling fine and doing the golf thing three times a week. Bequest Chair Frank Ettari and wife Pat are down in Tequesta, Fla. Mostly retired from his coal business in New York. Frank's had his Florida place for 24 years and says his golf score has increased accordingly. Treasurer Andy Gruninger and wife Win are down in Ocean County, N.J. Andy's a retired CPA. He works as a volunteer caregiver and is also a counselor to the Service Corp. of Retired Business people. He reports all bills are paid and we're in good shape. Reunion Chair Jimvon Rohr advises he did some skiing at Sugarbush before Christmas. He and wife Gene were to celebrate New Year's Eve in Burlington, Vt., with Mary and GinnyMarino. Jim and Gene now spending some time in Sanibel, Fla. JohnMcClintock, besides being our super newsletter editor, is treasurer and a director of the Hospice board in Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard, Mass. I tried to reach Ray (co-reunion chair) and SusanDewees. They were visiting children in California. Before that they were visiting Ireland and Africa. My how you '46ers do get around. Couldn't touch base with cobequest chair Jack Whitman and minireunion chair Walt Snickenberger so that covers our class officers except for a guy named Coleman. Oh, he's writing this.

I have sad news to report. Two of our classmates have passed away. Alfred R.Sanno on November 18, 1996, and FrankC. Cole on November 25, 1996. We extend our deepest sympathy to their families.
