Roger Schumacher reports on the class celebration of the undefeated football season in Princeton, N.J., on November 23. Roger, sons Scott and Keith, daughter Lee Ann, their spouses, and a grandson pitched in to throw a party to be remembered in the lobby of the Carnegie Center under the '56-'96 Reunion banner. About 70 folks gathered to sing, eat, and drink the night away as the gridiron heroes ended their perfect season with a win in the final game to be played in Palmer Stadium. Several Glee Club members were in strong voice, as well as seven of the nine Injunaires of the day. It was good to see Ed Abt,Howie Sodokoff, Jack and Bill Kustrup, LeoMcKenna, Clem Malin, John E. Allen, A1Welty, Jack Wheatley, Bill Sherman, FritzSimms, Dean Hofe, Stu Klapper, BruceBaekey, Bill Beard, Bill Tell, Bill Magavern, John Higgs, Artie Katz, BuddySchattman, Porter Kier, Steve Farmer,Hal Gordon, Tom Bechler, Len Clark, and the following Injunaires: Lynn Brock '58, Hugh Baldwin '58, Phil Stoddard '58, Bill Gennerich '57, and John White '57. Twenty or so adjourned to the Marriot for dinner later, and the next morning another subset of the group ate brunch together for more memories and merriment. The class owes a great debt to Roger and his family for their hosting of this biannual event and he promises to do it again in two years if Princeton doesn't quit playing us.
