Stan Smoyer and his new bride, Marge, will not be with us at jOur fall mini-reunion. Stan reports that they will be traveling in Italy at that time. But he hopes to attend the east coast of Florida mini-reunion next winter, or, he hopes, one of the home football games in Hanover.
Speaking of football, how does the team look? We lost our entire offensive backfield, as well as some very good linemen and linebackers—but then, so did our rivals. It is my humble opinion that we'll be very competitive, and perhaps win it all again if we can come up with a capable quarterback.
A nice note from Len and Jean Harrison. One of their Kendal neighbors asked what Len's class was, and when he told her, she asked if he knew Stu Barber. He was her first date, after her college graduation. Len gave her Stu's phone number in Arlington, Va., and they had a long chat. Unfortunately, Stu's health does not permit him to make our reunions, but he wants to be remembered to all. Dick Houck enjoyed the West Coast minireunion at Naples, Fla. He and May have moved to a "new" old home still in Lookout Mountain, Tenn., but at 200 Morrison St., same phone number, (423) 821-2509. His daughter, Janice, took him to that reunion, and a week's trip in Florida right afterward.
Marty Johnson, in Reno, advises that there are no classmates in his area, hence no news to report. Earlier this year Bernie and Dorothy Cushman took a threeweek tour through Italy, had an enjoyable time, and send their best to all.
I look forward to seeing many of you at our mini-reunion, Cornell game weekend, October 4-5.
