Linda Kelly and Kurt Moser were married June 27 aboard the Cherry Blossotn an oldstyle riverboat that docks in Alexandria, Va., complete with wooden paddle-wheel, brass fixtures, and a mustachioed ship captain (who, by the way, officiated at the ceremony.) The couple took off the next day for the Grand Canyon.

At the wedding, I engaged in my perennial pasttime of scrounging for Class Notes fodder.

Don't tell anyone. If people knew I was always on the lookout, they'd probably never talk to me.

Anyway, one guest at the wedding was Jen Avellino, who is a producer at CNN for the show Reliable Sources. It's a great show—a must-see for media junkies and anyone involved in politics. She lives fairly near Kurt and Linda with her husband, Zach Levine, who (as I've reported here before) is a neurosurgery resident in the D.C. area.

Speaking of the medical profession, Jen Kelso and her husband, both physicians, also came for the festivities. They recently moved to Charlotte after five years in Cincinnati. Unfortunately I didn't catch Jen's husband's name it was hard to hear at the wedding.

Other '89s in attendance included Carl Walker, Derek Emous, and Eric Zaslow.

And also the writer of this column. I hate mentioning myself in this thing, but it's sort of unavoidable this time, because I have news of my own: Eleanor Grace Avril, born May 21 at 8 pounds, 13 ounces. The baby and my wife, Karen, are doing fine, although the former has yet to differentiate between night and day. She has a HUGE set of lungs. And believe me, I know. I can hear her even with my hearing aid off.

Other news, forwarded to me from the College's alumni records people: Nicole E. Dale Slaton has been admitted to the bar in California and Washington. She practices corporate, securities, and real estate law. Tim Gudas is an associate at the New Hampshire law firm of Sulloway and Hollis.
