Unfortunately this month's column will be a little shorter than usual due to the lack of class news being sent in. Hint, hint. I know you all must be tired of my complaints but I know no other form of motivation to get you all to write in. Please appease me.
Angus King is high on my list right now because he was the sole contributor to my mailbag this month. Angus emailed exciting news that he is jumping on the wedding bandwagon and will wed Cricket Alexandre out on Nantucket Island on Sept. 25. Chip Davis, SandyOsborne, Pete McBride, Baird Ruch, and James King '97 will all stand by his side as he takes his vows. The wedding will be well attended by other Dartmouth alumni spanning a number of generations. After a honeymoon in Tuscany and Capri, Angus will leave Bain and Co. to attend Harvard Business School. In keeping with his true allegiance, Angus promises to wear a Dartmouth sweatshirt every day he is there.
Congratulations go out to two '93s who have achieved recent professional success. Steve Rinaldi, co-founder and CEO of Innovative Internet Marketing Solutions (IIMS) in Conn., along with two of his friends have been named Regional Young Entrepreneurs of 1999. The awards were presented by the Regional Small Business Administration. IIMS approaches web site design from a marketing perspective focusing on cultivating cooperative, long-term relationships with its clients. Clients of the profitable company include Wynonna Judd, Michael Bolton, Kenny Loggins, and Mariah Carey. It never ceases to amaze me how many talented entrepreneurs we have in our class like Steve.
David Seligman also deserves kudos on his co-authorship of an article entitled "Enforcing Judgments Against Property Held in Tenancy by the Entirety" published in the April 1999 issue of the Illinois BarJournal. Those of us in the legal field who have taken a bar exam in the past few years are likely cringing, as I am, to read the words "tenancy by the entirety," however, David's article addresses a serious issue in creditor's rights law. David is an associate at the law firm of Jenner & Block in Chicago, concentrating in bankruptcy, commercial litigation, and creditors' rights. He received his J.D. in 1996 from the University of Miami School of Law.
