Without wasting precious words of our allocated word count on a snappy introduction, enjoy the following update courtesy of Andy Mac Donald:
"As many people know, my wife Bonnie (UNH'91) and I had a baby girl named Carly last July 25. She has her mother's eyes, and to have her just look at me makes me the happiest guy in the world. I'm glad others from our ranks are also joining the parents club to see how great it really ly is! Bonnie and I are still living in Melrose, Massachusetts, and I'm currently doing business development for Elron Software based in the Boston area. We're fortunate enough that Bonnie nie can stay home and do the important work of bringing up Carly. She's a regular on the play green' group circuit, so if anyone wants to get a 'Big session going in the Boston area, let me know!
I regularly see Mike DeMelis, who is in his residency at Providence. If you're ever in the Providence area and happen to get shot, make sure to look up and see if it's Mike D giving you chest compressions. This will also help you avoid Mike giving you mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, which no one in their right mind would want. J. Dunn is back living in New Hampshire after his 'job' in Hawaii as a helicopter tour pilot on Oahu. He's now commuting every other week from Madbury, New Hamphsire, down to the Bayou in Louisiana, where he works flying in the Gulf of Mexico. He also has a side business called 'Harassment for Hire,' where for $100 he'll repeatedly buzz the house of your choice for the better part of an afternoon.
"Both Kurt Thomas and Dr. Andy Willis will be getting married (no, not to each other) in July and September, respectively, and I expect a host of the usual Dartmouth characters to be in attendance, which is good because most of them owe me money. I was proud to be asked to stand up with Andy and Kurt as a groomsman on their biggest days. My guess is that they want me to be there to open some holes for them if they decide to do the end around' and flee the scene. Just kiddin', guys.
"For my rarest 93 contact of this year, I spoke with George Neos, who is living in Southern California. He's married and has two boys and is loving life. He's also principal, teacher, coach and mentor (involved in just about everything) to his students at his church's Christian Academy. I'd rip on George a little too, but George's direct line to God makes me a little nervous, so I don't want to [tick] him off and lose my 'in.' "
Believe it or not, Andy's message contains another 400 words and reports on several other 935. Sorry I can't include the rest of Andy's message in this months column, but there are probably members of the classes of' 94 through '00 who would be unforgiving if we were to usurp their designated Class Notes space. I will try to include the rest in the next column, so stay tuned. If you can't wait to know what's in "Part II by Andy Mac Donald," or you just feel compelled to get in touch with Andy, feel free to contact him at amacdona@elronsw.com. I apologize to those whose news did not make it in this issue; I promise to lead off with your news in the September/October issue.
