With this column we begin a series of short bios of your class officers. The idea is basically to help you get to know us a bit better. The bios are selfwritten, although sometimes edited due to word count constraints. We begin with our class -incident. Molly Wender

"I live in Atlanta, with two little boys, Max 5 and Sam 3, and our dog Jethro. My other job (aside from being a mom) is making jewelry (sterling silver, pearls, and semiprecious stones). MvMy Creations jewelry is currently sold in boutiques here in Atlanta; Destin, Fla.; Portland and Kennebunkport, Maine; and Raleigh and Chapel Hill, N.C. It's a great, flexible business, and I get to meet fan people at shows! I am starting to volunteer for Max's kindergarden, and also volunteer in our neiohhorhood. Life is fall."

Much of the rest of the column is courtesy of Becca (Haerle) Eaton, who sent Molly a long e-mail a while back (please emulate her!) with news of her family and other classmates. Becca herself is living just south of Seattle, having moved back from Texas about two years ago "when my husband, Bill, 'escaped' the air force. I'm working part-time as a software consultant for die state's Deptartment of Labor and Industries (workers' comp stuff). We have a daughter, Stephanie, who turns 1 in April. Between work, the baby, and a husband who's gone a lot (he flies for Alaska Airlines), I keep quite busy...but I can't complain."

Becca reports that Karen (Thomsen)Trost is living in northern N.J. with her husband, Don, and kids Kyle and Kathryn. She works part-time from home as an editor. Gail (Marino) Herzig moved from the D.C. area back to Boston, with husband Michael and son Matthew, last year. She currently has her own medical practice (gastroenterology). Cheryl Baylor, whom Becca saw in Fort Lauderdale while attending a wedding in Miami last October, is working for Alamo Rentals in the marketing department. She too is very busy but says she's really enjoying her work and even got a nice promotion recently. Bob Schwartz, who is in the Cleveland area, has been doing a lot of freelance writing, but so far no one (in our class that is) seems to have read anything he has written. Finally Becca reports that Willa (Ridinger) Bagnall is still in Woodbridge, Conn., with husband Donald and kids Will and Becca (could they be named after Becca and her husband?). Willa left her job as a lawyer a few years back to work at her old high school.

Finally, folks, don't forget about your Dartmouth e-mail for life! As you'll probably already have heard by time this column appears, our class has started two email discussion lists, a closed one we will use to send information and an open "chat" list where any class of '84 member can contribute to the discussion. (And where your class secretary will be able to cull information for the Class Notes column!) However in order to participate in these new class media we need to know your e-mail, and one of the easiest ways to accomplish this is to activate your Dartmouth e-mail account (you can set it to forward to another account automatically if you wish). Instructions on activation can be found on the Dartmouth alumni web page.
