We have lost four good men since our last column in this magazine. Lin Higgins died on June 25. We think Lin was living in Gloucester, Mass., at the time of death. We heard from Elise Kelso of her husband, Jim's, passing on July 25 in Hamden, Conn. Russ Fette, suffering with Alzheimer's, died on August 31, and BobHaslam succumbed on October 5. (Obits in this or a later issue)

We tried to get a picture of our 1998 Man of the Year Award winner, PeterCardozo, in the DAM, but as in the past, we received a rejection. We think it's only young classes with Big Green weddings who can make the cut.

Talking of awards, we recently learned that Bill Green gathered in another one. He was recognized with a lifetime achievement award by the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire at a gala 85th anniversary dinner in Manchester, N.H., on October 23.

We had a green card from EvWoodman, who settled in on May 1 at his home in Ft. Pierce, Fla., for the winter. Ev

had a tough summer with two visits to the hospital, but declares he is well enough to look forward to our 60th in Hanover on June 14-16.

This may be very old news, but we are staring at a list of 92 folks who are planning to make our 60th Reunion. The list is an early one, so it may well have grown to greater dimensions since. There are a lot of guys we have not seen nor heard from in a long time who grace this list, which is a good indication that Kenny Mac Donald and Colin Holman are doing a good job on the coast. Incidentally, Kenny reports that he had a three-hour stop in Hanover this past September 20, which is not bad for a guy from Seattle, Wash. So join the throng for the big 60th. It'll be fun and, let's face it, we can never be sure how many more we can count on attending.
