Warren Cook writes that after 13 years in the ski business, he decided to go from ice to mice and has become president of JAX Research Systems which is the business part of the Jackson Laboratory. Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine, is one of the top nonprofit medical science research institutes providing genetically engineered mice for biomedical research, as well as the technology transfer and product development activities growing out of the research programs. Warren has international experience in business management, organizational development, and finance. From 1976 to 1986 he was president and chief executive officer of Chemfab Corp. in Merrimack, N.H. He most recently served as chief operating officer for American Skiing Cos. of Newry, Maine. It will be an exciting assignment in a fast-growing and fascinating technology.

From July 1991 to September 1994 he was vice president, finance and administration, and chief financial officer of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. For more than five years prior to joining Regeneron, Fred was head of RxFDP, a consulting firm which provided strategic planning, market development, and new product introduction services to pharmaceutical and other healthcare businesses. During 1973-86 he was at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, where he was a vice president with both line and staff responsibilities. Fie has an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. John D. Talbott ventured on the class webpage, putting his big toe in the water, electronically speaking, to see if this danged newfangled Internet thing works. He asks, "How do they cram all these letters into those tiny wires and send them all over creation?" John continues in his 12th year as VP/creative director at PCDI, a young whippersnapper of a correspondence school company in Atlanta, Ga. One daughter and husband are soon to return from their Peace Corps assignment in the Solomon Islands, and are traveling through Asia before hitting home turf in mid-May. Sandy McCague () noted he has started working as general counsel of Crum & Forster Insurance, headquartered in Morristown, N.J. After living in New Hampshire for the past 20-plus years, he is adjusting to the faster-paced environs of New Jersey. He commutes to New Hampshire on weekends. The family is building a home in Sparta, a beautiful area more like New Hampshire. Sandy says if anyone wants to proffer advice on what a newcomer to New Jersey needs to know (other than taxes and insurance!), he's all ears!
