Reunion is only a month or so away and I assume the reason that I have so little news is that you are saving it all for then. Another topic of conversation sure to be discussed is the College's new initiative regarding fraternities and sororities. It will be interesting to see if we, as a class, can reach consensus on that issue.

Meanwhile, there are a couple of quick items to report. Jud Graves has been elected as a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Jud concentrates his practice in general litigation with an emphasis on medical malpractice and products liability defense, other insurance defense, and media law. He received a J.D. with distinction from the Emory University School of Law in 1975. While at Emory he was Order of the Coif and a member of the editorial board of the Emory Law Journal and of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. He is a regular participant and speaker in programs relating to medical malpractice defense for the Medical Association of Georgia as well as a panelist on various First Amendment and media law programs sponsored by the Atlanta Bar Association. Jud is a partner with Alston & Bird in Atlanta.

Robert Jonas has recently published a book entitled Henri Nomven: WritingsSelected with an Introduction by Robert A.Jonas (Orbis, 1998). Nouwen was a famous Roman Catholic priest and university professor (Notre Dame, Harvard, Yale) who died two years ago. For more information, you can go to the website for the Empty Bell retreat center, where Robert is the director.

Once again, I close with a reminder about our 30th Reunion June 17-20. If you make a last minute decision to attend, contact me and I'll make all the necessary arrangements. Take care and write.
