Sorry about last months missing column. I had a good excuse but I just can't remember it right now.

John Tallmadge (notice the name has two L's, so this is the writer not the doctor) is the co-editor of Reading Under the Sign of Nature, which is a collection of essays in ecocriticism. John is also the author of Meeting the Tree of Life.

Dale Christensen, when not raising money for the Alumni Fund or lawyering, will be keeping elections on the up and up as he serves on the New York City Campaign Finance Board, an independent non-partisan agency.

If you are in Mount Kisco, New York, next April, you might or might not see Michael Timchulas latest architectural endeavor. The design of the Curtis Instruments Executive Building is such that it blends nicely into the environment. More things like this and John Tallmadge will have nothing to write about. Mike is also the architect for the renovations of the Mann Library at Cornell.

George Stauffer is moving from chair of the music department at Hunter College to dean of Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts. The school was founded in 1976 and encompasses music, dance, theater and visual arts. George is a Bach expert and last spring he gave lectures at Lincoln Center in conjunction with its celebration of the 250th anniversary of Bach's death.

My old buddy Dick Glovsky has merged his law firm with another in order to bring a greater depth of service to his clients. The new firms name is Prince, Lobel, Glovsky & Tye and consists of nearly 50 lawyers.

Next time you are in Hanover, stop in and see the Class of 1969 Room just off the snack bar in the Baker/Berry Library. Also, a reminder that our class Web site is located at www.alum. dartmouth.org/classes/69/. There are instruc- tions there for getting on the class electronic mailing list.

Take care and write
