E-mail correspondent BruceHamilton sent a corporate blurb about Lee Mitau. Lee, who has served as U.S. Bancorn's executive vice president, general counsel and secretary since 1995, will also assume responsibility for the company's corporate development function. He will be responsible for identifying and analyzing acquisition projects, expanding his current role as the company's chief legal adviser on its M&A transactions.

Bob Robbins has been sharing his insights about the stock market in both the print and electronic media. You can find his articles in most of the leading economic periodicals and see him on several businessoriented talk shows. Bob is a member of Robinson-Humphrey Investment Idea and Investment Strategy groups.

As a result of a merger with his old firm, Osborne Mills has become a partner in Squire, Sanders and Dempsey. Os will join the firm's corporate practice in Ohio. One final corporate note. Rich McNeil is now a managing director with Goldman Sachs.

My wife and I took a day trip to Hanover with Mark Bankoff, wife Ann, and kids Sarah and Nathan to see the basketball team in action. Good first half but we ran out of steam (the team, not us) and lost an exciting game. Take care and write.
