Have you checked out our class Web site to see the long list of classmates who are planning to attend our 20th Reunion? In the great tradition of the class of 1980, 20-Oh!-Oh! will be another record breaking reunion. According to Marty Peterson (our reunion chairperson), the preliminary numbers are ahead of all other classes. If your name is not on the list then you need to call Marty IMMEDIATELY at (773) 883-0678 and make your reservation. Don't miss out. There is definitely "something for everyone," including picnics, concerts, discussion groups, biking, hiking, sailing, rafting, running, swimming, tennis, golf, partying, dancing, a "junior program" for the youngsters and even private sitters if you need one.

FOOD will be a major attraction at our 20th. A note from John Cholnoky mentioned a recent dinner engagement with Dan Zenkel and Pete Scannell. John's words: "Both are doing great, but their table manners still resemble days in Thayer Hall. Nothing like having a great Italian meal and then having Dan ask the waiter where the soft-serve ice cream machine is. Meanwhile Pete challenges the near table to a chianti crew race. So much for aging gracefully." All three report that they will be in Hanover in June (you can find them near the soft-serve ice cream in Thayer).

FELLOWSHIP with classmates and their families will be strong at our 20th. DonKreis will more than likely make the trek to Hanover from his home in Grantham, N.H. Don's wife, Jenny, is a third-year medical student at Dartmouth. Don is an attorney with the N.H. Public Utilities Commission. He spent a year clerking with the Vermont Supreme Court and also remains true to his former career as a journalist by writing architectural criticism in his spare time.

Perhaps Mary Klages will make the trip to Hanover from her home in Boulder, Colo. Mary is a professor at the University of Colorado, where she specializes in 19th century American literature, literary theory and disability studies. Mary and partner Tasha have two children, Spencer Avery (Sept. 1, 1998) and Grayson Mitchell (Feb. 2000).

You might bump into Scott Osman at the big bash. Scott, along with his wife, Ellen, and children Jake (7) and Lily (3), travels to Hanover every six weeks or so. Scott has evolved his company, DoubleSpace (www.doublespace.com), into a combination Web solution and incubator company. He is also involved with a fast growing Tuck/Dartmouth network regarding the Internet. According to Scott, "I can't decide what is happening more quickly, the growth of the Internet or of the kids."

FOND MEMORIES from 20-plus years ago will abound in Hanover on June 16-18. Marcus Keep, M.D. (sounds like a new TV series), relays happy memories of taking professor Michael Gazzaniga's exciting mind-brain seminar course. What Marcus remembers most was Professor Gazzaniga's grading "as if we were already in medical school, which we thereby almost weren't..." Marcus is one of eight researchers who received a U.S. patent in October for the use of cyclosporin as a neuroprotectant against stroke, head trauma and neurodegenerative disease such as Alzheimer's. Marcus did his research at the University of Lund (Sweden) and is CEO of a virtual company, Maas BioLAB LL.C., that holds the intellectual property. Now in Honolulu, Hawaii, Marcus is performing gamma-knife neurosurgery at the St. Francis Neurological Center.

FUN will be the top priority at our Reunion. There is still time for you to squeeze a few days of fun into your busy schedule. If you haven't made your reservation yet, do it now: (773) 883-0678). See you on June 16-18, 20-Oh!-Oh!
