Some more bad news to report. I Jim Whiting died on November 29,1999, and Dave Spring passed on, after a short illness, on January 20 of this year. With the loss of these two men our figures shrink to 210 graduates, 54 non-grads and three honorary members still with us, this from a total of 655 who matriculated in the fall of 1935. (Obits in this issue.) Our bag of news is practically empty as we start this June column. We received a picture postcard from the Alumni Magazine. It pictured Joe Batchelder and his golf partner Ted Krag '49 posing on the 18th green in front of the Mountain Lake's Colony House, where J oe winters. They were the winners of the club championship Joe having posted a solid 83 for the round. As the recipient of the card, we can only presume that the magazine did not see fit to publish the picture.

President MacMannis has scheduled the first executive committee meeting of the new millennium for May 23, at the Yale Club in New York City at 10:30 a.m. In our next we shall have the results of the gathering. Perhaps of greater interest at this moment is a reminder that our mini-reunion will be held a bit later this fall. October 5-6 is the date, which falls over the Yale game to be held this year on Memorial Field in Hanover. Please also remember that the Radisson Hotel in West Lebanon, where we gather, has been sold and is now called the Fireside Inn. This same locale once again will serve as our base for the mini.

Sorry, but this abbreviated column is the best we can do. Please make an effort to send a note this way or to Peter Cardozo. We are having a tough time filling space of late. Be assured that any report from you is news to us and to your classmates.
