Welcome back. Hope you guys had a fan summer. It sounds like a lot of '96s were busy these past few months.

First up, I heard from Bill Tovell, who is currently living in San Francisco. Apparently Bill made the move from the lovely island of Bermuda to San Francisco at the beginning of the year and cites the reason as very long and business driven. But, he writes, "It is great to be in San Francisco. I am living with Jaime Hutter, Eric Schwartz and Mark Zanatta '98." Bill has also been hanging out with Angelos Dassios, who apparently does not venture out without a bodyguard for mysterious reasons now. Bill says he's not allowed to comment on it and that we'd have to ask Angelos directly. Bill also mentions that "Scott Denham is coming out to tour California before his wedding in September. And, I hope, Andrew Webb will be out here as well before his wedding in October."

I don't know if Bill knew this, but Nate Kraft was planning to visit him this summer as well. Nate wrote in for the very first time with an update that he's "going to spend the summer getting myself in trouble along the West Coast." Reasons for such naughtiness? Nate explains, 'All my friends keep telling me that I own the class of'96 record for job held longest after graduation. Well, I'm giving up the mantle and leaving the world of advertising and Chicago behind. At the end of June I'm moving to Berkeley to get my M.B.A. at the Haas School." Congratulations, Nate.

On his celebratory road trip, Nate was looking forward to spending time with some other '96s out West, including Capt. Carrington Bradley, "who's finally leaving his four-year 'job' with the Army, just having barely missed the excitement of a trip to Kosovo." Another '96 that Nate mentions is Craig Herkal, who is back from the co-netherworlds of Tulsa and law school and will be taking over Nate's apartment in Chicago. "He's working for the government and looking for love."

And from Peter Fahey '68,I hear that someing the National Alpine Ski Championships featuring Andy Martin."

Also making news these past few months were Andrew Solomon and Barney Olson. Andrew was recently profiled in the San Francisco Chroniclers a burgeoning entrepreneur. Upon graduation Andrew worked for Salomon Smith Barney in New York. But after two years Andrew quit to pursue a music career. Following his dream to become a professional singer and songwriter, Andrew was able to produce his own CD and garner positive reviews. And to merge his music and management interests, Andrew is currently the director of business development at EMusic.com.

Barney, on the other hand, was profiled in various local papers in Maine, after studying at the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, on a Rotary scholarship. While in Argentina, Barney took many courses, learned Portuguese, and traveled to the Andes and Patagonia.

Well, that's all the news I have for now. Keep the news coming.
