I just learned that Doug Ley died June 11, survived by his wife, Ruthie, and son Andrew '67. Following Dartmouth Doug went on to graduate from Harvard Law School.
Sadly, Harold Silverman, my Dartmouth roommate and close friend for 72 years, died July 15. He lived in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, most of his life, and he and his wonderful Renee both loved Dartmouth. He left the service with the rank of captain and became a retailer in Portsmouth and a trustee of the New Hamp shire Bridge Authority. Harold will be sorely missed by me and all who knew him.
Julie and Oscar Allen have sold out in Vermont to live full-time in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
You will always touch someone who was part of your youth at Dartmouth when you mail in a Green Card, so keep them coming and thanks to all of you for your support.
See you at the mini-reunion, which is going to be a great success. The telephone number listed for the Chieftain Motel in the reunion notice has been discontinued; the correct number is (603) 643-2550.
I just returned from Class Officers Weekend meetings at Hanover. I am proud to report that every one of your class officers were there for a very rewarding get-together. The great class of 1935 lives on!
