It has been a mild, dry winter here in New York, with no snow to speak of. Our annual mini-reunion dinner will take place at the usual haunt, Rene Pujol Restaurant, on April 8. Check our class Web site at www.alum.dartmouth.org/classes/71 for more details. This is generally awell-attended event with good food and good conversation. Try to join us if you will be in the area.
Jonathan Frost was the featured artist at the Round Top Center for the Arts last October; his specialty is etching. He has exhibited his works in various shows throughout New York and New England.
Edward Warro was appointed dean of the university libraries for Northeastern University, where he will oversee the collections, research services and computer labs, among other duties. Prior to joining Northeastern he served as dean of libraries at Loyola University in Chicago.
Congratulations to our own Jeff McElnea, who was inducted into the APMA (Promotion Marketing) Hall of Fame. Jeff transformed the firm of Einson-Freeman into a full-service promotion marketing agency. He literally started from the bottom up as an intern and rose to become president of the company.
Dana Tower has joined Fast Forward, where he will be responsible for developing its partner network from his office in Weston, Connecticut.
The Bexar County (Texas) elections commission named Cliff Borofsky to the newly resurrected post of elections administrator. I am sure that he has heard all of the Catherine Harris references by now, and we wish him the best of luck in a very difficult, highly sensitive and much scrutinized position.
On a sad note, we report the death of classmate Terry Brown, who died last July in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Sally, and children Brittany and Brandon. At Dartmouth Terry was our freshman class president and active in the Tucker internship programs.
By the time this column reaches you, spring should be arriving and flowers blooming. Does anyone know if they still play softball on the Green? Do they still have the chariot races Green Key Weekend? Keep those cards and letters coming (or e-mail, if you would prefer).
