My time deadlines for this column are such that you'll have to rely on sifty Joes rag for a report on Aprils San Diego minireunion. He'll likely get it all wrong, but watte ya gonna do? We're stuck with him.

An e-mail note from Jim Birney tells of his appointment as priest associate of St. Peter's in the Great Valley in Malvern, Pennsylvania, after 20 years of blissful, active retirement! Another "not really retired" is Eric Miller. A press release tells of his becoming a senior contributor to Bankstocks.com. The Web site provides research and commentary on financial services. Rick had been chief investment strategist at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, a Wall Street investment company.

One of the most important but less desirable parts of the class secretary's job is to write the obituaries for this magazine. When a classmate dies, I can write a much better obit if someone will send me a write-up from the local newspaper or another source. I can make the obit more personal and more informative if you do so.

Why not plan a weekend visit to Hanover this fall? This fall's mini-reunion is scheduled for October 11-13, most likely the peak of the leafpeeping season. Come on up!

The first of this month's featured biography (from the 50th reunion book) is Tom Green. He lives on Lopez Island, one of the San Juan Islands north of Seattle, Washington. He professes to be "working in manufacturing metal or wood chips and scrap." He flies his own airplane, sails and also flies sailplanes. He and Jerry have two kids and four grandchildren.

Al Wrisley lives in Alpharetta, Georgia. After Tuck he worked in sales for his family's soap company in Chicago and Adanta, and then in his own food marketing company and as a consultant in the food distribution business. He has six children, two of whom were born in Hanover. As of our 50th reunion time, A and Linda were planning to spend some time in Provence, France.

Hope your summers a good one. And, how about sitting down and dropping me an e-mail? Right now.
