President Hanna has asked me to take over as the class secretary. This is a result of Dick Jackson's illness, which forced him to resign. This ends a period of more than 40 years of great work on his part and a great contribution to our class history. Unfortunately, life moves on and since our last column the following classmates have passed on: Arthur Ide Jr. on June 26; Lawrence Crowe on August 3l,2001; Frank Cline on June 20; and Wentworth Brown on December 27, 2002. Several others have been covered in the recent issue of Thirty-Nine Out.

I have started to receive cards, which keep me up to date. Nice notes from Bob Alpert and Lou Oldershaw, both of whom are planning to make the mini. Others, such as Jim Corner wishing me well in the new assignment. I hope that many of you are going to make it to the mini-reunion, but if not, send me some news.
