Kudos to Gordon Hood! As you may recall he took over the job of class agent for 1950, replacing Gene Carver, who resigned due to illness and after the death of Bob Waterman in a bicycle accident. With the help of former class agent Eric Miller, Gordie did a fabulous job. He writes: "Our class did an outstanding job of raising funds for Dartmouth this year. Thanks to the generosity of classmates, widows and friends, we raised $194,078 in current use dollars for the 2002- 2003 Dartmouth College Fund. The 261 classmates who supported the fund constitute 66.1 percent of the class. We, therefore, exceeded our dollar goal of $180,000 and our participation goal of 65 percent. Overall, Dartmouth alumni, parents, grandparents and friends raised over a new record of support for the fund. Stealing from Alex Hoffman's column in the Tuck Alumni Magazine, here are a couple of items. Last November Jay Urstadt received the prestigious 100 Year Association of New York Gold Medal Award. The award is given for outstanding contributions to New York City. Jack Brodie has joined Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc. as a sales representative and writes that he is "very excited about my post-3M career in this explosively growing company. It's been around for 30 years, but most people have never heard of it. However, that's changing fast." That's it for now. How about sending me an e-mail with some news of you or another classmate?
