Here is evidence of the appropriateness of our memorial book custom. "Dear Mr. Monagan: The family of Charles T. Clark would like to thank the class of 1933 for the addition of a book in his name to the Dartmouth College Library. This is an especially fitting commemoration for my father, who was an avid reader on a multitude of subjects throughout his life. His breadth of knowledge has always inspired his extended family, including now his greatgrandchildren, to develop a habit of daily reading. We all wish to express our appreciation through this note. All the Palmers, Schaefers, Pasternacks, Stills, McFarlands and Benners."

A recent fortuitous glance at a March 1933 AlumniMagazine showed 1933 dominating the issue. George Metzger was pictured receiving the award for the winning Chi Phi fraternity snow sculpture, Gordon Ferry Hull won a Goethe essay contest, Hal Mackey played basketball center against Yale, and yours truly was occupant of the undergraduate chair. Not bad for our class!
