Tracey (Cushing) Gilliam wrote to announce that she had a baby girl on September 27. "I gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl. Although she had no name for three days, her father (my husband, Greg Gilliam, University of Richmond class of 1992) finally agreed on Piper Grace. Piper is a very happy 2-month-old. As I met her father playing rugby for the New York Rugby Club, I am sure she will one day play scrumhalf for the DWRC. I myself am dreading the return to my job in the legal department at JP Morgan Chase Bank in January (where I sometimes run into Rob Vincent), but will suck it up as bankers are always in need of my services as a litigation attorney. I see Deb (Van Winkle) Dulsky on a regular basis. Her son, Adam, is my godson and his football team just won their championship in Connecticut. I also see Jen Clark regularly. She lives in New buryport, Massachusetts, as do my parents, so whenever I bring Piper up to visit her grandparents, I sneak away with Jen for a sanity-saving cocktail. The three of us, together with Colleen (McDonough) Mabry, Amy (Winebrake) Cleary and Laurie (Khelokian) Byron try to have an annual trip somewhere without husbands and kids. Finally, I recently saw Jill Russell as she came to visit me and the baby. She made me some fancy Italian pasta sauce—what a gal!" The Gilliams call Bronxville, New York, home.
"My wife, Cathy (William and Mary'91), and I had our first child, Cecelia Ann, on October 13," writes Ray Pugsley. "Since both Cathy and I were competitive runners, we decided to turn our passion into our job and opened a running specialty store: Potomac River Running Store in Ashburn, Virginia, in 2003. We have a second store in Burke, Virginia. With any luck, our daughter will be a freshman (yes, a freshman, not a "first year") on the Dartmouth women's cross-country team in the fall of 2023 (class of 2027)." "Major changes have taken place in my life lately," writes Cam Petty. "The big news is that I'm now living in Stateline, Nevada.Forthose of you that don't know, that means South Lake Tahoe, where I'm renting a big ol' house that's minutes away from the lifts at Heavenly. I'm still in the process of unpacking but so far I love it here, and I'm looking forward to doing a lot of skiing and snowboarding this year." Cam points out the astronomically lower rent versus what he was paying in the Bay Area as one of the major advantages of life in South Lake Tahoe.
Going back to California, Jeff Cole and Rafael Aguirre-Sacasa have both made the move back to the Bay Area. No word yet if this is due to California's lack of formal extradition agreements with other states and countries.
Keep the news coming so I don't have to make it up—not that I would do that. Well, maybe.
