Our winter class update takes us from sunny Florida to the rugged West Coast, from the plains of Africa to the snowy- Northeast.
Kelley (Coyne) Campoli writes, "I am living in Land O Lakes, Florida (we do not make the butter, but apparently we are the nudist capital of the country or something like that). I married David Campoli (UMass '94) and we have two great kids. Katie is 4 (or 4 1/2, as she likes to say) and Chase is 11 weeks old. After a 10- year stint in insurance, I am in law school full time. I only started in the spring, so I am still taking all of those horrible required classes. Anyway, if any alums have words of wisdom to get me through I would appreciate it."
Bill Rexford and his wife, Sondy, have gone West (with a very) young man. They're living in Sisters, Oregon, with their first baby, Henry. Word has it "Lil' Rex" already has a lacrosse stick in his crib.
Rave reviews are coming in for the latest foray from the growing stable of '90 novelists. Amazon.com calls Benjamin Kwakye's The Sun By Night "a tightly plotted courtroom drama with themes from contemporary Africa," where Kwakye "explores the abrasive oppositions between the old order and the new; the controversial emerging social order against the entrenched and difficult mores of colonized Ghana." Congrats to Ben- jamin.
The Alpha Delta update involves three guys in the Northeast. First, the prodigal son Jono Sollinger has returned from whence he came, moving back-to Fairfield County, Connecticut, with his wife, Hillary, and two boys, Eliot (6) and Sam (5). "Dr. J" joined a pediatric practice in his hometown of Westport and was doing the reverse commute before it just became too much. Jono says he misses the city, but loves the beach. In an unforeseen development, all the kids in Westport have mysteriously developed a remarkable ability to juggle a soccer ball.
Mike Phillips has also relocated, from suburban Chicago to Connecticut (West Hartford, the center of the universe as far as I'm concerned). He brought his wife Julie, and two kids, Libby and Mac, along for the move as well. Mike is working at The Hartford.
Also on the AD legal front, give a rouse for John Lynch, who has made partner at the prestigious firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. After toiling for 80 hours a week for the past seven years in the litigation department, his ascension to partner has earned him another decade of 9 a.m.-9 p.m. days. Congrats, John.
My partner in crime (Mr. Levin) and I, have recently noticed a bit of complacency on the part of our esteemed classmates. I realize there's not a lot of time between changing the world and shuttling your kids around in your mini-van, but please take a minute to shoot us an e-mail with an update on your lives. Everyone reads the Class Notes, the fact that you're reading this now...is proof.
