In March we received a letter from the two sons of John Parker, Everett '52 and John '54, after having seen the "prison gang of' 29" in the March/April issue of the Alumni Magazine. They were curious to know if their father had ever lived in Fayerweather and might be one of the "prisoners" in the picture. I appreciated the challenge to find out—which I did.

Dartmouth keeps good records and files on her graduates, and those of the living are kept at the Dartmouth building in the Centerra complex. Those of deceased alumni are to be found at Rauner Library on campus. Anyone entitled to look at these records may do so and will find employees in both places most helpful.

We did find John Parker was not in the picture, never having lived in Fayerweather.

We are sad to have learned of Bill Dodges death on March 29. Bill had moved from New London, New Hampshire, to Exeter, New Hampshire, where he was living at River Woods retirement community. He and Squeek Redding were close friends ever since being freshman dormmates in Richardson.

Mid-April we attended a performance by Young (a) Heart Chorus, age span 71-93, with a thoroughly enjoyable program. If they come your way, be sure to see and hear them.

Rip says:

"Now when our June Commencement comes We'll greet 500 new alumni To join our grad schools and our meetings So welcome them with hearty greetings And what you'll most appreciate They'll bring 'our Dartmouth' up to date."
