Adam Rabiner sent in news that on January 2 he had a daughter, Ana Danielle. His son Elan Miles just turned 2 on February 15.
Steve Prentice lives near me, west of Seattle, on Bainbridge Island. He wrote, "My wife, Martha Makosky, and I moved here from Seattle five years ago. We have a son, Theo, who is 8, and a daughter, Dora, who is 4. We have been skiing a lot this winter. We have adventures big and small, near and far with Mike Derzon and his family. I run a company that develops property in Seattle and I work with my brother and father to manage a portfolio of public and private investments. Martha is an artist working in monoprint and collage media."
Paula Zagrecki sent a note to catch us up on what she and a bunch of fellow classmates from London to San Francisco have been up to: "I live in Los Angeles. I am the director of finance for Mitsubishi's U.S. power subsidiary. No husband or kids but I do have two very cute pugs named Max and Morty. I've been in L.A. for six years now and have definitely embraced the L.A. lifestyle. There's something to be said for being able to live in a great house with views, 10 minutes from work (in the convertible with the top down about 300 out of 365 days per year) and five minutes to hiking trails, where you can hike in shorts in December."
Last October 18 '88 women met in Denver for a joint 40th birthyear party. The party girls were: Julia (Fulwyler) Brunner, Gisele (Laffaye) Pansze, Jeni Anderson, Dana Beard, Kristen Steck, Cynthia Marshall, Jeanne Cochran, Catherine Rainey, Pam Kislak, Yvonne (Yueh) Humphreys, Amy Beller, Kate Haffner, Kathy (Corbett) Brooks, Kim (Chaplin) Baretta, Kelly (Mortell) Prime, Eiisa Murray, Cece Bloomfield and me. There were many margaritas consumed during the weekend, so I'm not sure I have all the details right, which just means people will have to write in to correct my errors! It was a fabulous weekend of catching up, drinking, eating, hiking, reminiscing, all without husbands or boyfriends or kids or pets. Although I have to say, all the kids are adorable!
From Colorado: Julia and Steve Brunner have two sons, Jake and Luke. They live in the Denver area. Julia is working part time as a lawyer. Cece is in Boulder with husband Tom. Gisele is living with her husband, Trent Pansze, and three kids, Martina, Derek and Grace, in Durango, where she's teaching at the local college and Trent is a pathologist.
From the Bay Area: Jeni, Kristen and Dana are all in the Bay Area. Jeni recently returned from Singapore and is teaching and running marathons. Kristen works for Chevron on environmental compliance.
From New York: Cynthia just finished law school in the fall and I think she's going into the Army JAG Corps. Yvonne is in New Jersey with her husband, Don, where she's a full-time mom to Alexandra and Michael. Amy is married with two sons and is an attorney at Simpson Thatcher.
From other spots: Catherine's living in London, managing a mutual fund. Kim just returned to the States from London and is a caterer, now settled in Cincinnati with her husband, Julian, and two kids (who lived their whole lives in London, so they call her "Mummy"). Jeanne lives with her husband, Andy, and two kids in Minneapolis, where she's an attorney and he's a contractor. Pam is in Portland, Oregon, with husband Tom and two kids, Zach and Eliza. Tom is an architect and Pam does something in education. Kate is an attorney in Boston and spends most weekends hiking in New Hampshire. Kathy lives with husband Tim Brooks and two daughters; Tim is an attorney and Kathy teaches elementary school. Kelly and Elisa are both still in Seattle.
