Hello class of '04. I'm afraid some of this news might be dated but here it is: Alex Talcott was named Illinois state coordinator of the presidential campaign of Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party nominee. He'll continue his day job, practicing law with Chittenden, Murday & Novotny LLC in Chicago, through the campaign. His wife, Kristin (Steinert) Talcott, will start school at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration this fall.

David Seidman and his wife, Julia (Keane) Seidman, who continue to live in Seattle, attended two classmate weddings this summer. Rachel Bender married David Ignacio in Seattle with Kate Krizan, Catherine Buck and Rebecka Mamer present. Seidman reports that shortly after the wedding Rachel moved from Seattle to Massa chusetts to start her medical residency. Kate is a medical student in San Francisco, Catherine works for Microsoft as a media specialist and Rebecka is a bartender in New York. The Seidmans also attended the wedding of Josh Mayer to Val Gerry '03, where Ed Yip, Fenton McCarthy, Josh Langsam, Charles Kluender, Jared DeYoung, Matt Meehan and Jeremy Presser were all present. Josh is currently at Duke Law; Ed, Josh, Charles and Matt all work in various sorts of banking in New York; Fenton and Jared are medical students; and Jeremy is starting a law clerkship with the 9th circuit in Billings, Montana.

Additional congratulations to Cynthia Marie O'Brien and Ben Dillon, who are engaged. Cynthia is finishing her M.F.A. in creative writing at Columbia University, where she also teaches in the university writing program. Ben is a first-year Ph.D. student in religion at Duke University. Since leaving Dartmouth Ben has earned an M.A. in religion from Yale Divinity School, and taught middle school social studies for two years as an AmeriCorps volunteer. Congrats also to Julia Payne and Dan Bailin 'OS, who were married in Brooksville, Maine, on July 5 with 25 alums in attendance (including Roger Gilmore '54 and photographer Rob Strong). Caryn Karo met up with Lauren Wondolowski, Rachel Ringel, Gillian Morshedi and Kacie Meager in Colorado this July for their latest occasional reunion trip. They are looking forward to the next get-together: our fifth year reunion next June!

Speaking of which, a huge thank you to Rowan Smith and Steph Feldman, who will be co-chairing our five-year reunion! The date for our reunion is the weekend of June 19-21, so make sure to put it on your calendar right now! For those of you who can't wait until June Rowan and Steph would love help on subcommittees to make sure this is the best reunion ever!
