Our vice president Clint Gardner is our guest columnist this month. To be sure that you are fully abreast of our October 10-12 mini-reunion plans, this column will supplement a May mailing that contains more details, especially about lodging, which you should focus on right away. Places to stay in Hanover will be scarce as hens' teeth, since this is the peak fall color weekend.
As the mailing tells you, the class has reserved 15 rooms close to town; five rooms at the Chieftain Motor Inn, (603) 643-2550; and 10 at the Marriott Residence Inn, (603) 643-4511. Visit their Web sites at www.chieftaininn.com and www.residenceinnlebanon.com. Then telephone them, identifying your reservation as for the "class of 1944 reunion group."
Stan Barr plans, as usual, to lead Dartmouth's Marching Band over to serenade us. Then it's off to the Yale game at 12:30. To register, return the slip in your mailing, with check for $75 per person (payable to Class of 1944), to Clint Gardner, P.O. Box 710, Norwich, VT 05055. Questions: E-mail Clint at clinton.c.gardner@valley.net.
We send our condolences to the families of Joseph Anthony Maleno, Edward Bayes Price Jr., M.D., and Rudolph Gwinn Whitten Jr.
