Bill Mathers has moved from his Vermont home so that Myra can get better treatment for her Alzheimer's, which is not improving. Meanwhile, Bill is having his hands full with his own health problems. Spoke with Mac Feinberg, who sounded dispirited because he is not able to do anythingwith his life because of his health problems. I tried to cheer them both up. Jay Wolff still goes to work a few times a week. Outside of that does very little and thinks he is the only one feeling old. Had a long conversation with Frank Stockman. He is happy to learn that his roommate Joe Parachine is still around. I am trying to get together with Joe, who lives an hour away. Ed Reich called to see if I could meet him in Berkeley in the fall when he is coming out to California to get together with son Bob. I have a grandson in Sacramento who will drive me over and looks forward to a great time with us. Irv Sager called to tell me he is going to Cambridge, Massachusetts, for a long visit with his son, which sounds great. Any of you want the phone number of any Dartmouth friends, get in touch and I will supply it.
