Oliver "Bud" Butterworth's widow, Mims, has shared some interesting news. Bud's book, The Enormous Egg, originally published in 1956, has recently been translated into Arabic. Previously, it has been translated into several European languages, as well as Hebrew and Chinese. At this time Little, Brown and Cos. is planning to bring out a new edition in English, possibly with different illustrations. It is indeed a true classic.

Word from Bruce Mantemach is that he is still living at home on his Avon, Connecticut, 25 acres, with his dog and housekeeper. Nat Brown sent a clipping about Fred Rideout's widow, Stella, "a world traveled debutante," who passed away April 25.

The College keeps me updated on the demise of classmates. Rowley Bialla died October 2, 2007. As an undergraduate he was a member of Palaeopitus, the Glee Club, Senior Fellows and Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Later, while he carried on his private law practice, he was a dedicated class agent. Jacob "Jake" Mosser died March 28. In College he was a member of the French Club. A loyal reader of DAM and The Mint Bag, he kept in touch with Bill Rotch. Eugene McGregor, M.D., died May 6. After graduating from Dartmouth Medical School he had a private practice in the Woodsville and Littleton, New Hampshire, hospitals for many years. Edmond L. Shea, a retired New York Supreme Court justice; passed away May 8.
