Perley C. Grant's new address is 25 Wellington St., Barre, Vt.

George F. French was elected treasurer of the General Alumni Association of Phillips Andover Academy at Commencement in June. News has come to the Secretary's desk of the death of Mrs. Claude A. Butterfield at Springfield, Vt., on July 2. Burial was at Cleveland, Ohio. Our sympathy is extended to Butter in his bereavement.

Lee C. Curtiss is a member of the firm of Craig-Curtiss Company, Cleveland, Ohio, contractors and builders. This firm is one of the largest of its kind in the city, and most of the big business buildings have been erected by them. Curtiss resides at 1554 Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights, not very far from Mort Crowell.

Charles W. Fletcher, formerly at Keene, N. H., is now located at Portsmouth, N. H., where he is still connected with the U.S. Internal Revenue office. He is living at 104 Mendon St.

Andrew Marshall was appointed a member of the Board of Public Trustees of the Boston Elevated Railway August 26 by Governor Fuller. The Boston papers announced Andy's appointment with write-ups, most of them featuring his football experiences at Dartmouth and at Harvard, making particular mention of his filling the breach in the Harvard team at the time Dartmouth dedicated the Stadium. His great work and the big part played by him in exposing illegal practices going on a few years ago in Suffolk and Middlesex counties were commented upon at length.

George M. Janes, formerly professor of economics at Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, Pa., has been appointed professor of economics and sociology at Kenyon College, Gambier, Ohio. Kenyon College is a child of Dartmouth, having been founded by Bishop Chase, an alumnus of Dartmouth.

Mort Crowell, Jr., won the Leadership Cup at the Cleveland Heights High School this last June. The cup is awarded by vote of the faculty to the boy or girl in the senior class who has shown leadership qualities and characteristics throughout the course. Mort has entered the freshman class at Hanover this fall.

Mary Teresa (Barry) Maguire, wife of Eugene L. Maguire, passed away September 22 following an operation. She is survived by her husband and three children. All who have met Mrs. Maguire will remember her personality and character. She had been a regular attendant at all class dinners. Our sympathy will go out to Gene and his children in their great loss.

The first meeting of the year of the executive (or rather publicity) committee was held at the office of Richard Ward, the last of September. The committee were all there, together with the Secretary, and considerable business was transacted. In fact it was noted that this was the first time that business was ever done at the preliminary meeting of this far-famed committee.

Secretary, 42 Orange St., Nashua, N. H.
