For those classmates who have not yet heard him we recommend strongly that you tune in on Station WAAB at 2:00 to listen to Cedric Foster in his world news commentary. It is one of the best to which we have listened and Foster does a grand job. Congratulations, and more power to you, Cedric.
From 1605 Huntington Drive, S. Pasadena, Calif., comes this interesting letter: "Just a few lines in the midst of home coming activities to announce my arrival from Japan via Shanghai on Sept. 28, and the more important arrival of Red Jr., on Sept. 5. Clara had no trouble throughout and the youngster is a real husky. You can imagine what a kick it is to break away from the mess out there and find a family awaiting me. Can't begin to describe conditions in the Orient, but I must say it's a great relief to leave it alone for awhile and bask in a more normal atmosphere. Have not had time yet to see the Los Angeles crowd but expect to get in touch with them shortly. I wrote you a sizeable letter from Harbin last Jan. or Feb. which apparently failed to reach you. Mails from Manchukuo and Japan have been badly messed up for a long time. [We used your fine letter from Harbin in the Feb. issue.] Scheduled to go back to Manila at the year end, but am trying not to think about that yet. We'll be East for a short visit next month, but fear there won't be time to head north of N. Y. C. All the best to you and the gang, Red Newell." Congratulations to you both upon the arrival of Red Jr., and many, many thanks for your splendid letters. I wish we had more correspondents like you!
