AT THE ANNUAL election of the club held . September the 20th the following officers were elected: president, Charles M. French '24; 1st vice president, Edouard J. Petrequin '25; 2nd vice president, Augustine R. Treadway '24; treasurer, Spencer E. Cram '3l; secretary, W. Wallace Mountcastle '22; assistant secretary, Scott E. Rogers Jr. '40. An Executive Committee composed of Daniel L. Harris 'l7, Robert P. Morris '34, Nelson O. Newcomb '24 and Howard R. Schuemann '33 were duly elected the following Saturday and together with the officers immediately went into a huddle to formulate plans for the coming year.
Aside from the football wires several meetings are being planned with prominent speakers and if the first few of them meet with success, many more will be forth-coming in the future. Russ Treadway '24 is chairman of the Freshman Admissions Committee and he and his able assistants are busy most any Saturday afternoon interviewing men for the class of 1946. Almost any Saturday finds retiring Alumni Councilor Fletch Andrews 'l6 in a serious huddle with neophyte Bob Stecher '19 instructing him in the many intricacies of Bob's new job. Johnnie Moxon '29 of New York was a recent visitor here at one of our Saturday luncheons and it is the hope and wish of the Club that more of you men passing through town will avail yourselves of the chance to meet with us and renew old friendships. Along with the men of the class of '4l here in Cleveland, the Club welcomes to membership Frank A. Parmalee '34 who has recently been transferred from Toledo. A new and revised copy of the directory of Dartmouth men in the Cleveland area is now off the press and available to all members. Incidentally any of the Dartmouth Clubs throughout the country who might like a copy or two for their files may have same by dropping a card to the writer.
