The Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood, Fla., was really quite a lively place on the evening of Tuesday, February 8, when this club joined with the Dartmouth Club of Greater Miami for our annual dinner. Promptly at 7:00 P.M. the wearers of the Dartmouth Green with their wives, to the number of 108, representing classes from 1908 to 1959, including parents of Brad Lindeblad '68 and alumni parents Ed Hodgson '42 and Whip Walser '32, whose sons are '69ers, gathered in the club lounge for a rousing welcome to our featured speaker for the evening, Jim Cusick and his charming lady Margaret. It is hardly necessary to say that the cocktail hour was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Dinner was served at eight promptly and when all were well satiated President WaltDingwall '54 called the meeting to order, got the necessary introductions of the speakers' table out of the way, and proceeded to give emeritus Professor James Cusick the floor. Dr. Cusick entertained us with a very thoroughly prepared and meticulous account of the Alumni College held each August in Hanover. Some of those in attendance are planning on attending this coming summer.
The evening ended with the showing of the Football Highlights of 1965 film. President Dingwall paid special tribute to the two widows who were in attendance, Grace Crooks '11 and Helna Locke '12. Such "gals" are always welcome at our affairs and very loyal too!
