Spud Smith from New Hampshire and Tommy Harris from Tucson, Arizona, have both asked "Why did you, in the April MAGAZINE, leave out the name of Gil Frost as one of our five living Doctors?" I have written to Gil, and to both Spud and Tommy, that it was merely on account of my octogenarian senility.

From an April MAGAZINE item about an alumni group in Tucson, I quote, "Led by the stimulating enthusiasm of Thomas Jefferson Harris a permanent organization was unanimously voted."

"Our Mary" Frost, February 28th, gave an afternoon tea at her home in St. Petersburg, Fla., for Dartmouth Alumni. Of course Biff was there.

Mrs. Karl H. Goodwin, 536 Hinman Ave., Evanston, 111., sends to all in '86 greetings from herself and her daughter Pauline, who "Has a job with the British War Relief." Mrs. Goodwin has also sent me two of Karl's books which I shall treasure and share with other Dartmouth men as long as I live. Their titles are—My Generation by William Jewett Tucker, President of Dartmouth 1893-1909, and The Story ofDartmouth by Wilder D. Quint '87.

Since the arrival of Jonathan Young Richmond, Feb. 10, '41, Pete reports that he has four grandsons and one granddaughter.

Marden's daughter, Marguerite, Mrs. Perley Fitts, sends greetings to all our '86 boys and girls and says that a great granddaughter of our Marden, Josephine C. Marden, is now two years old. To Marden's son, William Walker Marden, were also born William Walker Marden Jr. in May, 1938, and Betsey Marden in January, 1941. Mrs. Fitts, herself, has a daughter who will be ready for College in the fall of '41. Too bad she can't go to Dartmouth.

Newton writes that he recently had a phone talk with Mrs. William Hatch, 15a Jason Street, Arlington, Mass. Her granddaughter, Mary McCormick, entered Smith College last fall. Also her grandson, John K. McCormick, Mary's brother, graduated from Harvard in '39 and is now in his second year at the Harvard Law School. These are the children of Eleanor Hatch, daughter of our beloved Will Hatch.

To these few facts about the second, third, and fourth generations of our '86 men, we hope to have many additions before we meet for our 55th Year Reunion at Dartmouth, beginning Saturday morning, June 14 th.

This Reunion Day is now very near. Billie and I urge that all who plan to be with us in Hanover send him word at the earliest possible moment in order that details for the Reunion may be planned and Hotel Reservations may be made.

We hope also to have a word of greeting tor all of us from each of us, even if we cannot come to Hanover in person.
