On May 30, Mrs. Stetson wrote that the members of Stet's family are all well and busy in this world of turmoil:

"Three of the children's families live in Middleboro, Mass., while Thalia's family is in Newton. The oldest grandchild, Priscilla's son, Stanley Alger Jr., attended Dartmouth last year as a civilian, class of 1948, for the summer semester. He was inducted into the Navy the day before Thanksgiving and is now at a Radio' Technician School in Gulfport, Miss. The oldest granddaughter, Thalia Weston Kennedy, is a student at the Senior High School in Newton. And the third, George A. Stetson, a freshman in our Walter Sampson Memorial High School. I could report progress in regard to the other five grandchildren. With wishes for the best the world has to offer for all members of '86."

Marden's daughter, Mrs. Fitts, writes that her daughter Dorothy has just graduated from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, and that her nephew, W. Marden Jr., a pilot, was back in this country from Italy last winter.

Mrs. Jenks sends greetings to '86 and says that she expects to spend the summer in Evanston, Ill., after a happy winter in California with her sister and daughter.

Pete says that he has written to Wales every St. Patrick's Day for sixty years, but has not heard from him this year. Is Wales too sick to write?

Spud died on May 15. See the In Memoriam Section. Biff has taken over the work of class treasurer. Billie Newton and his new wife spent two nights with the secretary in June while on their way to Springfield, Mass., where they will spend the summer. They expect to begin a permanent home in Florida in the fall. They are a humorous and happy pair.

The secretary's address in August will be The Anchorage, Castine, Maine.
