Back again, after a long summer which brought in only a slow trickle of news. Nevertheless ...

Believe it or not, our 5th Reunion will take place next June 18 through 20. Pete Ruegger and Tom Hanna are serving as reunion chairman and should have a letter with the details in the mail soon (if not already). In the meantime, Pete and Tom welcome all suggestions, questions and above all offers to donate refreshments, services or other useful freebies. The addresses: Pete Ruegger, 250 East 87th Street, Apt. 18C, New York, N.Y. 10028 and Tom Hanna, Peg Shop Road, Keene, N.H. 03431. Pete also pointed out that as a reunion class we receive better seats at this fall's football games - so if you haven't been to one yet mail in your coupons now.

In other class news, Class Agent JeffMcElnea has recaptured the Green Derby lost last year to the 73's. That's right, once again the Class of 1971 led our group in Alumni Fund donations, in both dollar amount and participation percentage. Jeff has informed us that ReesToothman will act as reunion giving chairman and the two are busy plotting new, unusual and sinister ways of separating us from our money.

This month's first wedding is that of DaveDietz and Kathy Wies, back in June. Unfortunately we have no details on who attended the wedding, even assuming the stories would be printable. The Dietzes are living in Boston while Dave attends B. U. Law School.

John Bacon and Mary Elizabeth Uihlein are our second wedding of the month - although the month was actually August. The couple were married in South Strafford, N.H., and again we have no further details.

Lots of movement around the country as Med School graduates start internships and residencies. Dave Clark, a George Washington graduate, has returned to Hanover for a one year surgical internship at the Dartmouth Medical School Affiliated Hospitals, Mary Hitchcock, and White River V.A. At the other end of the country Steve Brockway is at the University of Arizona Hospitals in Tucson for psychiatry residency. Steve graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

In news of careers non-medical, Eric Friedman reports that after graduating from Tuck in 1972 he went to work for General Foods and is kept busy testmarketing new products.

John Orange, meanwhile, has been appointed manager of banking and investments of Airco, Inc. Before joining Airco, John was an assistant secretary of Irving Trust Company in New York; he has an M.B.A. in finance from New York University. John lives in Suffern, N.Y. and Airco, Inc. is located in Monvale, N.J.

The summer's news wasn't all good. We have belatedly learned of the death of David Head in a house fire last February. An obituary will appear in a later issue.

That's all this month. Mark the reunion dates on your calendar and let the brisk fall air stimulate your writing impulses.
