MARCH 5TH WE HELD our Annual Spring Dinner under the leadership of Percy H. Russell Jr. '29. To Chairman Percy goes the honor of getting out the largest crowd of Dartmouth men that the secretary can ever recall for such an event in Washington. Nearly 150 alumni gathered to hear a fine talk by Coach Tuss McLaughry and a most inspiring address by Dean Neidlinger. We were very happy to have the opportunity of meeting "Tuss" and having "Pudge" with us again.

We had a real cross-section of Dartmouth alumni present, running from our dean, Henry P. Blair '89, to some of the boys of '42 now here on active duty with the United States Navy. Under the prodding of John L. Sullivan, Charlie Stickney, and Ort Hicks, the Class of '21 turned out with the best attendance, but the Class of '33, though second in number, made the most noise.

George M. Morris '11 was scheduled to be our toastmaster but was forced to remain in Chicago where he was nominated for the Presidency of the American Bar Association. A "Wah-Hoo-Wah" for George! That's a grand and well-deserved honor! Our good friend and Alumni Council member, Ted Stafford '11 stepped into the breach, however, and did a fine job of pinch-hitting.

It is a loss we announce that one of; our "regulars," a very active member of the Washington club, Jim Pimper '33 is being transferred to Detroit. This will be a blow to our bowling team on which Jim has been a pillar of strength. Already the team, which has not found the going so easy in the second half of the series, has had to call on the "Junior Varsity" for help and has received yeoman service from Bob Kay '33 and Cal Milans '33.

When you come to Washington, please be sure that your name and address is on our list by calling Larry Reeves at Metropolitan 1030.
