Dave Main spent the holidays in the East visiting with his three grandchildren. During his visit Joe Nuelle and I had the pleasure of having breakfast with him a couple of mornings.
Henry Ladd writes that his son John is home in Belfast, Maine, after eighteen months in German captivity. Through the aid of "Lady Luck" he returned uninjured and in good health During the month of December Olive and Bob Blood spent a few days at Hanover Inn as did also Billy B. Van A note from King Benton postmarked Hood River, Oregon, advises that he expects to attend the 40th Reunion in July.
On December 14 Donald M. Buckbee '34, the eldest son of Alice and Neil, passed away from a heart attack. The class sends its deep sympathy to them.
John Page '39, son of Mary and Bill Page, received his honorable discharge from the Navy December 11 Brackett Hazen '44, son of our Brack, has opened an advertising agency at 40 East 49th Street, New York City. .... S/Sgt. Edward A. Herr Jr., who was with the 10th Division, Ski Troopers, is now at Camp Kilmer. Ned writes that he is now a "quadruple" grandfather, as his daughter Virginia Grosser has a baby boy.
