In the mid-winter letter of the Friends of the. Dartmouth Library, Herb West states that Dartmouth now possesses one of the finest Robert Frost collections in the world, owing mainly to the generosity of Mrs. Sidney Cox and Harold Rugg. In fact, he says, the richness of the collection is due primarily to Mr. Rugg, not only because he built the collection up, but also because he has given the Library his own great collection, consisting of about 100 unique items. He also states that Harold has given many other books, and also a very rare third class Dartmouth College lottery ticket. The class will be sorry to learn that Norm Bankart died at his home in New York on Sunday, January 27.
Genevieve and Walter Dakin sailed from New York the early part of February on a cruise half way around the world. After visiting the West Indies and Trinidad they sail to Bahia and Rio de Janeiro. From there they cross the Atlantic to Capetown, Africa, and then up the coast to the Canary and Madeira Islands. At Lisbon, Spain, they leave the boat and fly to several cities in Spain and finally end up in Rome, Italy, where they meet their son Philip and his wife. They expect to arrive back in New York on May 15.
